Travel to Panicale

Finding Panicale

The easiest way to find Panicale on the map is to draw a line between Rome and Florence. Somewhere in between, but closer to Florence, is Lake Trasimeno, toward the east. Just south of it, 30 km west of Perugia and only 10 from the Tuscany's border with Umbria, you will find Panicale.

Finding the way to Panicale

You can easily approach Panicale by flying to Rome, Florence or Pisa, then by train or rental car. The nearest train station is called Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (20 km west of Panicale). From there you can take a bus (which runs only twice a day) or a taxi.

If you come by car from the south: Motorway AI to Fabro or Chiusi Chianciano Terme, then follow the signs or your GPS.

If you come by car from the north: Motorway to Val di Chiana or Chiusi Chianciano Terme, then follow the signs or your GPS.

Expect about 3-4 hours from landing to arrival. There is a large car park at Piazzale Regina Margherita, next to Porta Fiorentina, one of Panicale's two entrances.
